HP Printer Cartridges
Hewlett Packard (HP) has long been one of the dominant names in the printer industry. Since they entered the printer market in 1980s, they have consistently been rated as one of the most popular and most reliable printers on the market. They have focused on providing inexpensive quality printers to both home consumers and businesses, and have created many of the technologies that are standard on almost any printer today. Whether you require a small inkjet for home use or an business class laser printer, HP has the printer that will meet your individual budget and needs.
HP Inkjet Cartridges
There are three general types of printers: dot-matrix, inkjet, and laser. Dot-matrix printers work something like a typewriter, where a printer header physically strikes a ribbon and presses ink into a piece of paper. HP Inkjet cartridge printers use heat or an electrostatic charge to force ink through a nozzle on the print, spraying the ink on the piece of paper. Laser printers use a light, powdery ink polymer that is electro-statically bonded to a piece of paper, and then heated to melt (or “fuse”) the ink onto the paper. In the early days of computing, all printers were dot-matrix.

However, HP revolutionized printer technology in 1984 with the introduction of the ThinkJet inkjet printer, a quieter, faster, and ultimately less expensive alternative to the traditional dot-matrix printer. (1984 was coincidentally also the year that the HP Labs opened in Bristol, the first HP Lab outside of the United States.) By 1988, they began mass-producing inkjet printers under the DeskJet brand name, the first affordable deskjet inkjet cartridges printer available for home consumers. In 1991, the DeskJet 500C again broke new ground by making color printing inexpensive enough for home users.

HP has also been a leader in the laser printer market. They introduced the Laserjet line of printers in 1988, sold their 10 millionth Laserjet by 1993, and crossed the 100 million unit threshold in 2006. In 1994, HP released the HP Colour LaserJet printer, the first colour laser printer. HP has so completely dominated the market that “Colour LaserJet” is often used as a generic term to refer to any laser printer, not just the HP brand.
HP Photosmart Inkjet Cartridges
In 1997, HP released the PhotoSmart line of inkjet printers, which were designed to more accurately reproduce photographs, as well incorporate scanner and camera integration. HP PhotoSmart inkjet printers include card readers and a small LCD screen, allowing users to print photos without the use of a computer. Many of HP's inkjet printers now carry the PhotoSmart brand name, as almost all now produce high-quality photoprints.
HP Officejet Ink Cartridges
Today, HP markets fifty-one models of laser printers, as well twenty-three OfficeJet models, fifteen PhotoSmart, five DeskJet, nine DesignJet, and one Business InkJet (which uses a separate printhead and cartridge system). Their latest release is the OfficeJet Pro 8000, a wireless printer with embedded 802.11g capabilities, allowing for printing from the web without any other connections.
Cheap HP Printer Cartridges
In fact, there is really only one serious mark against HP printers: cartridge replacement and buying cheap HP printer cartridges. Many customers have registered complaints regarding the ongoing cost of using an HP printer. For instance, a typical HP business strategy is to sell the printer very inexpensively, and then make up that difference by selling expensive toner and ink cartridge refills. Many customers feel that HP is “tricking” them into a long-term expense by this tactic.
HP has also been the subject of negative publicity regarding some of their technological innovations. Many consumers have complained about HP cartridges that incorporate “pagecount chips,” which are small microchip counters that prevent ink cartridges from printing after a certain number of pages. This is frustrating for users when they can see that there is still ink left in the reservoir, but the cartridge no longer functions. (HP claims that this extra ink is needed for the cartridge to function properly).
Additionally, HP regionalises their printer inkjet and toner cartridges, which means that if you purchase a printer in the United States or other foreign locale, the cartridges you purchase in the UK may not work with it. HP has confirmed that they follow this practice, but have yet to explain the reasoning behind it.
Buy HP Toner & Inkjet Cartridges UK
Fortunately, there is an easy way to avoid all of these problems. By ordering online from our generic HP compatible and remanufactured inkjet cartridges warehouse, you can counter all of these issues. Research and experience has demonstrated that a quality compatible (also called a generic) replacement for a printer cartridge can be just as effective as the more expensive original. For example, between sixty-five to seventy percent of people who try a compatible cartridge never buy a name-brand cartridge again, which indicates that most people find no difference between the original cartridge and a quality compatible replacement. However, consumers who buy the cheapest replacements often find that they are such poor quality that they have to soon purchase another replacement. It is important to find a quality generic as well as a good value, and our store guarantees that our cartridges are always high-quality replacement cartridges for your HP printer, not an inferior substitute.
Additionally, most of our toner and ink cartridges come without pagecounters, allowing you to use the cartridge for the full volume of ink, and ensuring that you receive the full value for your expense. Because we are an online vendor, we can ship the exact type of printer replacement cartridge that you require. If you have purchased an HP printer anywhere in the world, we can provide a quality replacement cartridge without the problems caused by regionalisation. Since we don't have the costs of a conventional brick-and-mortar store, we can also supply cartridges at a substantial savings.
